What you see is not always what you get…at least not with the band Parallax View. While the band hopes fans enjoy their music, this close knit family has a different perspective. “We want to be known not just for our music,” says the band, “but we desire to be satisfied in our music and personally worship Jesus through it. We hope others enjoy and follow suit.”
Hailing from Farmington, Missouri, Parallax View has focused on helping others see the world from another perspective by making relationships a top priority. And it all started close to home. Lead singer Ben and guitarist Seth are brothers. Add in their cousin Mark on bass and in 2001 this “family” decided to turn their passion for music into Parallax View. It’s been a non-stop adventure ever since.
The band released their first independent demo album in 2007, and their highly anticipated new album, “All the World,” is schedule for release this Fall. The album was recorded entirely in the band’s basement and took years to percolate (Ben’s a HUGE coffee fan) but only month’s to pour out in the studio. Both albums are available in Parallax View’s online store.
When the band isn’t busy leading worship at their home church, “The Bridge”, or on the road touring, they love to hang out and do typical “guy” stuff. One thing is for sure, these guys love to rock. And the Midwest will never be the same again.
